Laughter Filled the Beijing Premiere of Happy Little Submarine 3
On May 23rd, 2013, GDC and Kaku Children’s Television (based in Beijing) jointly launched the grand premiere of Happy Little Submarine 3- Rainbow Treasure in Beijing Yaolai Jackie Chan Theatre. The film will be on screen on May 31st covering more than 2,500 theatres nationwide. Happy Little Submarine 3 chose its first exposure to children in the capital, Beijng, mostly because Kaku Children’s Television fell in love with Happy Little Submarine 3 at first sight.

The theme of the film, seeking treasure in the ocean and the colorful mystical sea world, will bring the whole family to the joyful and happy journey on Children’s Day. Following Happy Little Submarine 2’s success in the best box office in Chinese animation film during Children’s Day last year, GDC will release Happy Little Submarine 3- Rainbow Treasures in both 3D and 2D versions, breaking the record of the numbers of film distribution copies in Chinese animation film history. In GDC, there are many China’s 3D production beginners who are also eager to take their children to watch this film as a gift of the Children’s Day. During the GDC internal preview, Dai Wei Hua, the production manager of Happy Little Submarine 3, watched the film with his son and others kids. During the 80 minutes, all the kids stared at the screen, and completely immersed in the film story with laughter and tension at times. After the movie ended, Dai Wei Hua’s son’s first words were “the movie finally finished” Dai Wei Hua felt a hit immediately. And then the little guy said “I can finally go to the restroom!" Dai Wei Hua soon realized that this fantasy and attractive story just made his son refuse to go to the restroom until the film ended. This also made the production team very confident.
